Webinar reveals if taking your business to the web is as lucrative as it sounds

Small Business Week 2007 is a week-long campaign dedicated to championing the 4.5million-plus small enterprises in the UK. The week, which will begin with a launch event at BT Tower, brings together small businesses from across the country, independent business organisations, Government agencies, regional influencers and media and aims to better understand the triggers and barriers to long-term success for the SME community.

The week's key activities include a series of webinars that will offer advice and insight to small businesses from some of the sector's key influencers.

This webinar is called ‘Better Business… On the Web’ and focuses on establishing an online presence for small businesses. The subject is debated by editor of Smallbusiness.co.uk, Adam Wayland and General Manager of Broadband, VoIP and SaaS at BT Business, Ake Nylen. On the agenda is whether the Web is really a cost-effective way to promote a small business or open new markets? Are the barriers to harnessing the power of the Web?

60% of businesses in the UK have a company website but 1 in 5 do not have an online presence at all. But what is the best way to keep in contact with other companies? And can social networking tools become a useful addition to a small business online arsenal? Find out in the webinar…
